Overcoming Technical Hurdles

Turns out Microsoft Word is actually still the best for this sort of thing!

Second,March Update on My Japanese Conversation Book Project

As we wrap up another week, the conversations are taking shape, and the vocabulary generation is in full swing. I must admit, it’s been a tiring process, but seeing everything come together has been incredibly rewarding. Things are going well, and I’m eagerly looking forward to diving into the formatting part of the book. My programming experience has proven to be quite helpful in this journey, as it’s allowing me to write code that streamlines the formatting and generation process.

In a surprising turn of events, I encountered some unexpected issues with MacOS Pages. As the book file grew, Pages started failing to keep up with the demands of the project. So, I decided to switch to Microsoft Word for Mac, and it’s been fantastic! The features and performance are impressive, even though it takes almost 5 minutes to save the large book file. This minor hiccup has only strengthened my resolve to create an exceptional Japanese language learning resource for all of you.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to make strides in our quest to deliver an enriching and engaging Japanese language learning experience!
