Embracing the Challenge: My Journey to Create the Ultimate Japanese Conversation Book
My first post, the journey has started!
Hello, language enthusiasts! I hope you all had a fantastic start to the new year. Today, I’d like to share with you an exciting personal project I’ve embarked upon: writing a Japanese book filled with example conversations for learners like myself!
As some of you may know, I’ve been studying Japanese for about three years now. It’s been an incredible journey, and I’ve enjoyed immersing myself in the fascinating culture and language of Japan. I must admit, though, that finding the right resources for practicing conversation has been a bit of a challenge. That’s why I recently set out on a quest to find the perfect shadowing resource to help me take my Japanese to the next level.
In my search, I stumbled upon a promising book called Shadowing: Let’s Speak Japanese! Beginner to Intermediate Edition. I eagerly dove into its pages, anticipating rich dialogues that would help me hone my listening and speaking skills. However, much to my surprise, the book contained mostly single phrases and sentences. While these were interesting and useful, they didn’t provide the context of a full conversation I was craving.
Not one to back down from a challenge, I decided to take matters into my own hands. If the resource I needed didn’t exist, why not create it myself? And so, my journey to write a Japanese book began. A book that would be filled with engaging, back-and-forth conversations on a wide range of common topics that learners would find immensely useful in real-life situations.
In the coming months, I’ll be sharing my progress with you, along with insights and tips I pick up along the way. I hope that my experiences will not only inspire fellow Japanese learners but also provide a practical resource that will help you achieve your language goals.
I am incredibly excited about this journey, and I can’t wait to share my book with you all!
